What is CIchecked?
CIchecked is an online identification verification product developed by Commercial Investigations LLC – a licensed private investigative agency and leading provider of employment and tenant background screening.
Why get CIchecked?
Adding the verification of a trusted 3rd party to your online presence gives credibility to your social networking sites, web pages, blogs and e-mail signatures. This added credibility allows you to build online relationships faster by introducing an element of trust and confidence right away.
How does it work?
You purchase your CIchecked trust mark online. Upon check-out we provide you with an HTML code or a link to insert into your social networking sites, web pages, blogs and e-mail signatures. Once your trust mark is displayed, your viewers can click on the CIchecked logo to verify your Certified Identification. Viewers simply compare the Certificate Usage information found on the CIchecked Certificate to the corresponding information found on the web pages, blogs, social networking sites and e-mail signatures they are currently viewing.
Where can I use my CIchecked trust mark?
Your CIchecked trust mark can be used on any social networking site, web page, blog or e-mail signature. Go to your trust mark placement tab in your CIchecked account and select where you will use your trust mark.
How do I use CIchecked with LinkedIn?
To place the link to your CIchecked certificate in your LinkedIn profile, login to your LinkedIn account. Click on the “Profile” tab and click “Add Websites.” Choose other form the drop-down menu and add “Click to Verify” as a website title. Paste your CIchecked Certificate Link in the URL box. Click “Save Changes.”
What to I do with my CIchecked HTML code?
To place your CIchecked trust mark on your CIchecked trust mark on your social networking sites, web pages, blogs, login to your account and go to your edit profile/page function. Paste your HTML code in the area where you want the trust mark displayed and save your changes.
For Example – to place your CIchecked trust mark on MySpace, login to your profile and click “Edit Profile." Paste your CIchecked HTML code in the “About Me” section and click “Save All Changes.”
To place your CIchecked trust mark in your email signature, login to your account and go to your mail options/settings function and select the option allowing HTML in your signature. Paste your HTML code below the last line of your signature.
What if my social networking site, web page, blog or e-mail signature does not allow HTML?
CIchecked also provides users with a direct link to your Certified Identification certificate. Copy and paste the “Click to Verify” text and CIchecked Link into anyplace that does not allow HTML.
Why would I purchase multiple certificates?
At CIchecked, we understand that privacy is very important. Allowing users to purchase multiple Certified Identification certificates on a single account puts the user in control of how much or how little information is displayed. Users can have all social networking URL’s verified on a single certificate or purchase multiple certificates for each profile.
Why do you need the last four digits of my Social Security Number?
Providing the last four digits of your Social Security Number is necessary for assuring the accuracy of your verification. Having these last 4 digits allows CIchecked to differentiate you from someone else with the same name and/or date of birth.
How long does it take to become CIchecked?
The process from start to finish takes just a couple of minutes providing all required information is entered accurately.
How long is my CIchecked certificate valid for?
Each CIchecked certificate is valid for one year from the date of purchase. CIchecked will notify you via email when it is time to renew.
Why can’t I get CIchecked?
CIchecked is intended for use US residents 21 and older. To become CIchecked you must meet the age requirement and have a valid credit card suitable for completing an online transaction. If you meet all these requirements and are still unable to become CIchecked, we urge you to try again at a later date.
How much does it cost to get CIchecked?
The cost is $9.99 and your certificate will be valid for one year from the date of purchase.
