Account Executive.


$85 - 155k Per Year + Commission

The Account Executive is responsible for driving new business acquisition and revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing enterprise-level accounts within targeted vertical markets. This role requires consultative selling expertise to position CIChecked's investigative background screening services as strategic solutions for organizations in franchise systems, healthcare, government contracting, and other highly regulated industries. The Account Executive serves as a trusted advisor who translates complex compliance requirements into clear business value, leveraging the company's 20+ years of investigative expertise, proprietary screening technology, and licensed private investigative agency credentials to differentiate from commodity database screening competitors.

Key Responsibilities


Business Development:

  • Identify and qualify prospects through research, networking, industry events, and strategic outreach campaigns.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new accounts in targeted industries such as healthcare, finance, education, nonprofit, and retail.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities through strategic networking, research, and referrals.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets within assigned territory and vertical markets

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Create and execute customized sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to understand client screening requirements, compliance obligations, and risk management objectives that align with client goals.
  • Develop customized proposals that align CIChecked's service offerings with client-specific requirements and demonstrate measurable ROI
  • Deliver consultative sales presentations that articulate the investigative advantages and proprietary capabilities of CIChecked's screening solutions
  • Present and negotiate contracts, proposals, and service agreements.
  • Represent CIChecked at industry conferences, trade shows, and professional association events to build brand awareness and generate qualified leads

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving C-suite executives, HR directors, risk management teams, and legal counsel
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, client service,compliance, marketing) to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Achieve key performance indicators including meetings scheduled, proposals submitted, conversion rates, average deal size, and sales cycle length
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market trends to senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and account documentation in HubSpot CRM system, ensuring data integrity and timely reporting
  • Develop and maintain relationships with strategic partners, including ATS/HRIS providers, HR consultants, and industry associations

Growth & Knowledge:

  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape to effectively position CIChecked's unique value proposition
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) guidance, ban-the-box legislation, and other relevant compliance frameworks

Qualifications


Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in background screening industry sales.
  • 2+ years of experience with the Accio Data platform.
  • 3+ years of experience with self generated leads.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and driving growth in a B2B environment.

Skills:

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong consultative selling ability with a focus on understanding client needs.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience) desired.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25%).
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and Google Workspace.
