Compensation
This role ranges between $17.00 and $25.00 per hour.
Role Overview
This position is responsible for performing routine administrative, sales and marketing duties along with other applicable and assigned duties. Individuals holding this position are required to work closely with the President.
Core Responsibilities

Performs full range of administrative, sales, and marketing assistant responsibilities.

Performs a variety of Internet research functions and uses word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

Answers, routes, and handles all facets of incoming sales telephone calls and emails.

Answers routine service questions and directs questions to appropriate personnel when necessary.

Prepares sales and marketing reports.

Processes sales leads and assures leads are directed to the appropriate staff member.

Maintains sales and marketing files, accurately and efficiently entering sales and marketing data.

Coordinates the submission of sales proposals and tracks the sales progress (SalesForce).

Performs trade show follow up to assure timely delivery of literature and samples.

Phone contacts to augment the efforts of the sales staff as needed.

Processes sales data, sales progress reports, and other sales related records and reports.

Data entry to track the delivery of sales literature, sample reports, and other necessary services to customers as directed by the sales staff or management (SalesForce).

Prepares sales presentations by compiling data; develops presentation formats and materials.

Provides product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying customer request, selecting appropriate information, forwarding information, and answering questions.

Maintains customer database by inputting customer profile and updates; prepares and distributes monthly reports.

Tracks sales expenses by tracking, consolidating, analyzing, and summarizing expenses and submitting for reimbursement.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

Assists with developing the marketing plan and carrying out the marketing plan.

Prepares and proofreads marketing and sales materials to ensure they are prepared in a clear, concise, logical, and impartial manner.

Develops policies and procedures for the documentation and improvement of sales and marketing tasks.

Develops plans, procedures, and instructions related to assigned duties and administrative projects and activities.

Maintains quality across all duties.

Works to improve sales and marketing efforts and increase the quality of the work directed.

Acts in accordance with company goals and mission.

Helps the company maximize revenues, minimize costs, and prevent fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement of our products and vendors.

Ability to perform the duties of the position in a friendly, polite, and intelligent manner to encourage and enhance relationships and sales revenue with prospective and existing customers.

High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-4 years of college is preferred.

Two years of experience in a position involving administrative, sales, and marketing work.

As a condition of employment, all employees are subject to, and must pass, a criminal background check for private investigative license by the NYS Department of State pursuant to Article 7 of the General Business Law.
